Marc Maron

I have been a fan of Marc Maron’s since the mid 90s. I felt that his stand up was an extreme but yet close character to himself. For the final image I placed the cats and positioned Marc to fit the Golden Rule. I learned a lot during this project from new software like Substance Painter, understanding more of Fibermesh and creating Nhair, and working with Mayas version of Vray as well understanding its render system.

Marc Maron saw the image and commented on it saying that it was “Wild” which was the highlight of my life. This was due to the help of Pixologic posting it as well. I also received an Editors Choice award from CG society for my image.

Software Used: Maya, Zbrush, Topogun, Substance Painter, Vray, and Photoshop.

After rendering different layers I composited them together and finished the image.
